Step-by-Step Guide for Newly Admitted Students

Following the completion of the 2025/2026 admission screening exercise—which included physical screening, biometric enrollment, and ranking based on JAMB UTME scores—the University has released the list of successful candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various Departments and Faculties.

All candidates whose names appear on the merit admission list (see page 4) are advised to carefully follow the guidelines below to secure and complete their admission process.

Steps to Accept and Process Your Admission

1. Confirm Your Admission Status

• Visit the JAMB CAPS portal to confirm your admission offer.
• Ensure that your admission status reads “ADMITTED” before proceeding.

2. Locate Your JAMB Registration Number

• Find your unique JAMB registration number (e.g., 202551991244FA).

3. Accept (or Reject) Your Admission via SMS

• Using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile, type the following message:
• Your JAMB Registration Number + SPACE + ACCEPT (or REJECT)
• Example: 202551991244FA ACCEPT
• Send the SMS to either 55019 or 66019.

4. Receive Confirmation

• You will receive a response confirming your decision.
• The message may include your passport photo and a congratulatory note.

5. Print Required Documents

• After accepting your admission, log in to JAMB CAPS and print:
• Your admission letter (colored copy only).
• Your result slip (colored copy only).
• These documents are compulsory for clearance and registration.

6. Pay Acceptance Fee

• Payment for acceptance fees begins on Wednesday, 17th September 2025.

7. Departmental & Faculty Clearance

• Clearance in Departments and Faculties starts on Monday, 22nd September 2025.

8. Adhere to the Deadline

• Clearance and registration must be completed within 4 weeks of publication, i.e., by Tuesday, 14th October 2025.

9. Await Further Admission Updates

• The University will continue updating the admission list in line with JAMB approvals and admission categories.

Note: Supplementary admissions for UTME, Direct Entry, JUPEB, and Basic programmes are still ongoing.
