The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation of 12 academic programs at both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels at Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta (ABCOAD).
In a letter dated February 14, 2025, conveying the results of the Resource Verification/Accreditation exercise, the Director of Monotechnic Programs Department, ABCOAD, Sama’ila Tanko, announced the NBTE approval of accreditation for the 12 programs.

- ND Animal Health and Production Technology
- HND Animal Health Technology
- HND Animal Production Technology
- ND Forestry and Environmental Technology
- HND Crop Production Technology
- HND Pest Management Technology
- HND Soil and Land Resources Technology
- HND Agribusiness Management
- HND Software and Web Development
- Institutional Administration
Speaking on this development, the Provost of the College, Prof. M.A. Wailare emphasized that the accreditation will greatly enhance the institution’s reputation.

He noted that the rigorous accreditation process reflects ABCOAD’s commitment to high academic standards, quality infrastructure, and skilled faculty and also expressed his gratitude to the Kano State Government, led by His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for funding the accreditation process and also commended the college staff, head of departments, and all stakeholders for their commitment during the preparation and conduct of the accreditation exercise.
Accreditation by NBTE ensures that technical and vocational education institutions in Nigeria meet national and global academic standards.
