Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has approved the appointment of Professor Onyeka Aloysius Chijioke as the Acting VC of Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri.
The appointment, which takes effect from February 10, 2025, will last for a maximum period of six (6) months. As Acting VC, Professor Chijioke is tasked with the responsibility to facilitate the process for the emergence of a substantive Vice-Chancellor of Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education before the expiration of his tenure.
However, he is not eligible to apply for the position hen it is advertised. Prior to his appointment, Professor Chijioke served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria.
