The management of University of Port Harcourt has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Direct Entry screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.
All candidates who selected UNIPORT for Direct Entry admission are hereby invited to apply for the screening exercise through the university’s official portal.
UNIPORT Direct Entry Screening Registration Date 2026/2027
The online registration portal will be open from:
Friday, 15th May, 2026 – Friday, 19th June, 2026
Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline, as the application portal will automatically close at midnight on Friday, 19th June, 2026.
Eligibility for UNIPORT Direct Entry Screening
Candidates applying for the screening exercise must provide details of the following:
- Qualifying examinations for Direct Entry admission
- O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB)
- A’Level, Diploma, NCE, JUPEB, IJMB, or Degree results
- CGPA or points obtained where applicable
- JAMB Direct Entry Registration Number
How to Apply for UNIPORT Direct Entry Screening
Candidates should follow the steps below to complete the registration process:
Step 1 – Visit the UNIPORT Portal
Go to the official University website:

Step 2 – Confirm JAMB Details
- Input your JAMB Registration Number
- Verify your pre-loaded JAMB information
Step 3 – Make Payment
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000 only
- Payment can be made online or at any bank using the Remita platform
Step 4 – Obtain Payment Confirmation
- Collect a Remita receipt containing your Access Code from the bank teller
Step 5 – Complete Online Registration
- Return to the portal
- Login using your JAMB Registration Number
- Confirm payment
- Fill and submit the online application form
Documents Required for Submission
Candidates are expected to submit photocopies of the following documents:
- JAMB Direct Entry Slip
- Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- O’Level Result(s)
- A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB Results
- Degree Certificate/Result showing CGPA (where applicable)

Important Notice to Candidates
Applicants should take note of the following instructions:
- Any inconsistency in names across documents may lead to disqualification
- Names on O’Level, A’Level, JAMB, and other documents must match exactly

- Registration is fully online; physical presence on campus is not required
- All results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS to qualify for admission consideration
