The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has officially announced the commencement of applications for admission into its 13th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified male and female Nigerians of good character who wish to pursue a university degree while undergoing professional police training at the Academy.

Successful candidates will earn a Bachelor’s Degree and be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II) upon graduation.

POLAC Admission Requirements 2026/2027

To be eligible for admission into the Nigeria Police Academy, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

General Requirements

  • Must be a Nigerian by birth.
  • Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Must have participated in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 180.
  • Must have selected the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil as First Choice institution during JAMB registration.
  • Must possess at least six (6) credits in WAEC, NECO, or equivalent examinations in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Must be between 16 and 21 years old as of October 31, 2026.
  • Must have a valid email address and active phone number.
  • SSCE results obtained before 2023 will not be accepted.

Physical Requirements

Male Applicants

  • Minimum height of 1.67 metres.
  • Minimum expanded chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches).

Female Applicants

  • Minimum height of 1.64 metres.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
  • Not be married at the time of admission.
  • Not be pregnant at the time of admission.

POLAC Admission Application Fee 2026/2027

Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of:

₦6,000 only

The fee covers:

  • Admission Application Fee
  • Post-UTME Examination Fee (₦2,000 included)

Payment is to be made through the Remita platform after generating a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

How to Apply for POLAC Admission 2026/2027

Follow the steps below to complete your application:

Step 1: Visit the Application Portal

Visit the official POLAC admission portal and generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

Step 2: Make Payment

  • Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦6,000.
  • Payment can be made at any commercial bank nationwide using the generated RRR.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

After payment confirmation:

  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Upload scanned copies of:
    • SSCE Result
    • Birth Certificate
    • Certificate of Origin

Step 4: Print Application Documents

Applicants are required to print:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Guarantor Form

These documents must be presented during the aptitude test and screening exercise.

POLAC Aptitude Test 2026/2027

All applicants will sit for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at the Nigeria Police Academy ICT Centre, Wudil, Kano State.

The examination date will be announced later by the Academy.

Automated Physical Screening Exercise

Candidates who meet the required CBT cut-off mark will be invited for physical screening.

Required Documents for Screening

Applicants must present the originals of:

  • Educational Certificates/Results
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Medical Fitness Report from a Government-Recognized Hospital
  • Certificate of Good Character from Village/District Head
  • Local Government Indigene Certificate
  • Completed Guarantor Form

Guarantor Requirements

The guarantor must be:

  • A Public Servant not below Grade Level 13; or
  • A Police Officer not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP); or
  • An officer of equivalent rank in the Armed Forces or other Paramilitary Agencies.

POLAC Medical Screening

Candidates who successfully pass the aptitude test and physical screening will proceed to the automated medical screening stage at the Academy.

Interview and Final Selection

Successful candidates will subsequently undergo:

  • Automated Interview
  • Final Selection Exercise

Candidates who meet all requirements will receive admission offers via email and SMS.

Duration and Nature of Training

Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy will undergo:

The programme lasts for a minimum of five (5) years.

Upon successful completion, graduates will:
