The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) pre-admission screening registration for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who applied to the University of Abuja through UTME or Direct Entry are advised to complete the screening registration within the specified period. Applicants who fail to register for the screening exercise will not be eligible for admission.
UNIABUJA Post-UTME 2026/2027 Registration Date
The University of Abuja Post-UTME screening registration will commence on:
Wednesday, 12th August 2026
and close on:
Wednesday, 26th August 2026.
Eligible candidates are strongly advised to register before the deadline.
UNIABUJA Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the University of Abuja for the 2026/2027 academic session must meet the following requirements:
UTME Candidates
- Candidates must score a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME and meet the required cut-off mark for their chosen programme.
- Candidates must have at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal.
- Candidates must ensure that their UTME subject combination is suitable for their chosen course.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
Direct Entry applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
- NCE
- IJMB
- ND
- First Degree
- HND
Important: Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB ‘A’ Level qualifications are not eligible to apply for the University of Abuja Direct Entry screening.
All Direct Entry candidates must upload their A’Level results to the JAMB portal and ensure that the results are properly verified.
UNIABUJA Age Requirement
All candidates applying for admission into the University of Abuja must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
Candidates should also ensure that their subject combinations meet the requirements for the programme they applied for.
How to Apply for UNIABUJA Post-UTME 2026/2027
Eligible candidates can complete their registration by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the UNIABUJA Portal
Go to the official University of Abuja application portal:
Click on “Click Here to Apply.”
Step 2: Select Undergraduate Application
Click on the Undergraduate link located on the left-hand panel of the portal.
Step 3: Enter JAMB Registration Number
Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on “Get Details.”
Step 4: Provide Your Information
Fill in your basic information and provide a valid:
- Phone number
- Email address
Candidates should ensure that the information supplied is accurate.
Step 5: Pay the Screening Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.
To make payment:
- Generate your RRR.
- Proceed to make payment through the available payment platform, including bank, USSD, ATM and other approved options.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered email address or phone number where required.
- Complete the payment process.
Step 6: Complete the Registration
Click on “Login to Dashboard” and complete your screening registration using your JAMB Registration Number and surname.
Step 7: Print Your Registration Form
After completing the application, print out your completed registration form and keep it safely for future reference.
UNIABUJA Post-UTME Screening Fee
The University of Abuja Post-UTME screening application fee is:
₦2,000
The fee is non-refundable.
Important Information for UNIABUJA Applicants
Candidates should take note of the following important instructions:
- Candidates who fail to register for the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
- Candidates changing from one course to another must process the change through the JAMB portal.
- All candidates should ensure that their O’Level or A’Level results are properly uploaded to the JAMB portal where applicable.
