The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially commenced registration for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, popularly known as NECO GCE 2026.

NECO GCE 2026 Registration Deadline

Candidates who fail to register before the deadline can still register between:

18th November – 24th November 2026

Late registration attracts an additional ₦5,000 surcharge.

• Ordained Clergyman
• Chief Imam
• Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces or Police (Captain rank or equivalent and above)
• Senior Civil Servant (GL 14 and above)
• Legal Practitioner with at least ten years of experience

Candidates are no longer required to submit the attestation card at any NECO State Office.
