The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), 54 days after the conclusion of the last paper.
Key Highlights of the Results
- Total Candidates: 1,358,339 sat for the examination.
- Performance with English & Mathematics: 818,492 candidates (60.26%) obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Performance without English & Mathematics: 1,144,496 candidates (84.26%) obtained five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
- Gender Distribution: Of the 1,367,210 registered candidates, 685,514 were male and 681,696 were female.
- Special Needs Candidates: 1,622 candidates with special needs participated.
Examination Integrity and Challenges
- Examination Malpractice: 3,878 cases were recorded in 2025, representing a 61.58% reduction from 10,094 cases in 2024.
- Mass Cheating: 38 schools across 13 states were flagged for involvement, while 9 supervisors from Rivers, Niger, FCT, Kano, and Osun States were recommended for blacklisting.
- Disruptions: Examinations in 8 schools within Lamorde LGA, Adamawa State, were disrupted by communal clashes, affecting 13 subjects and 29 papers. Plans are underway with the state government to reconduct the affected examinations.
How to Check Your 2025 NECO SSCE Results
Follow these steps carefully to access your results online:
- Visit the NECO result checking portal: https://results.neco.gov.ng/
- Select your Examination Year: 2025
- Select your Examination Type: SSCE Internal (June/July)
- Enter your Token Number and Registration Number in the required fields.
- Click on “Check Result” to view your result.

- Candidates affected by examination disruptions in Adamawa State will be duly informed about rescheduled dates.
