Federal University of Technology Akure has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for admission into all courses and programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the university management, online registration for the screening exercise will begin on:
- Start Date: Monday, 1st June 2026
- Closing Date: Friday, 3rd July 2026
Candidates who meet the admission requirements are advised to complete their registration before the deadline.
FUTA Post UTME Cut-Off Mark 2026/2027
To be eligible for the screening exercise, UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of:
180 in the 2026 UTME
conducted by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
FUTA Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into Federal University of Technology Akure must satisfy the following requirements:
UTME Candidates
- Must score at least 180 in the 2026 UTME.
- Must choose FUTA as their preferred institution.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must choose FUTA as their First Choice Institution.
O’Level Requirements
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
plus other relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB at not more than two sittings.
Age Requirement
Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
FUTA MBBS Admission Update
Federal University of Technology Akure also announced that admission into the MBBS programme, which was previously suspended, has now been reinstated.
Interested and qualified candidates can now apply for the MBBS programme during the 2026/2027 admission exercise.

FUTA Screening Fee 2026/2027
The Post-UTME screening fee is:
₦2,000 only
Payment should be made through the Remita platform after generating the payment invoice on the portal.
Candidates can pay at any commercial bank nationwide.

Candidates should note the following carefully:
- Completing the online registration form is compulsory for all eligible applicants.
- Ensure your UTME Registration Number and Full Name are entered correctly exactly as they appear on your JAMB slip.
- Candidates must complete registration before the closing date.

Candidates who fail to register before the deadline will not be considered for the screening exercise.
Important Warning to Candidates
Upload O’Level Results to JAMB CAPS
Applicants must upload their O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS Portal on or before Friday, 3rd July 2026.
Failure to upload results will make candidates ineligible for admission.
Participation in Screening is Mandatory
Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into FUTA.
