The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).
All prospective candidates who selected LASU as their first-choice institution and meet the admission requirements are invited to participate in the mandatory online screening exercise.

LASU Post UTME Eligibility Requirements 2026/2027
To qualify for the LASU 2026/2027 admission screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:
UTME Candidates
Applicants must:
- Choose LASU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
- Score a minimum of 195 marks in the 2026 UTME.
- Be at least 16 years old by 1st October 2026.
LASU Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Candidates
Candidates who successfully completed the LASU Pre-Degree Programme and:
- Selected LASU as their first-choice institution.
- Scored at least 195 in the 2026 UTME.
are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
All Direct Entry applicants, including LASU JUPEB candidates, must:
- Obtain a Direct Entry form from JAMB.
- Choose LASU as their first-choice institution.
- Participate in the online screening exercise.
Note: LASU accepts only LASU Diploma qualifications for Direct Entry admission, except NCE holders applying for Faculty of Education programmes.
Lagos State Indigenes
Candidates claiming Lagos State origin must have completed verification through the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC). Their status will be automatically validated during screening.

How to Apply for LASU Post UTME/DE Screening 2026/2027
Follow the steps below to complete your LASU admission screening registration:
Step 1: Visit the LASU Portal
Go to the LASU official website and navigate to the Admission Screening portal.
Step 2: Login

Step 3: Pay the Screening Fee

Important O’Level Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- Minimum of five (5) credit passes relevant to their course.
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings.
Medicine and Dentistry
Applicants must have all required credits in one sitting only.
Engineering Programmes
Candidates using two sittings must possess:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics
- Chemistry
plus other required subjects.
Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering additionally requires a credit pass in Further Mathematics.
Important LASU Screening Instructions
- Candidates must upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the screening deadline.
- Only candidates who selected LASU as first choice can participate.
- Any examination result obtained after July 2026 will not be accepted.
- Screening is based on a grading system using UTME scores and O’Level grades in five relevant subjects.
