COOU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form 2026/2027: Eligibility, Registration Date, Requirements and Application Procedure

The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.

Candidates who selected COOU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME are invited to apply. Interested candidates who did not initially choose COOU but meet the required cut-off mark can also apply after changing their institution through JAMB.

COOU Post UTME 2026/2027 Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

UTME Candidates

  • Candidates applying for Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Pharmaceutical Sciences must have scored at least 200 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Candidates applying for all other programmes must have scored 150 and above.
  • Candidates with scores between 150 and 165 are advised to consider some of the recommended courses listed below.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry applicants who selected COOU as their first-choice institution are also eligible to register.

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications in relevant disciplines:

  • NCE
  • OND
  • HND
  • First Degree
  • A-Level Certificate

Important Information for Direct Entry Candidates

All Direct Entry applicants must ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded to:

Transcripts must reach the university before the deadline for the screening exercise. Any transcript received after the deadline may not be considered for admission.

COOU Post UTME Registration Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 through the university application portal.

COOU Post UTME Registration Dates

  • Registration Opens: Monday, 8th June 2026
  • Registration Closes: Tuesday, 7th July 2026

Candidates who fail to complete their online registration before the deadline will not be considered for the screening exercise.

Additional Requirements

Applicants should note the following:

  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.
  • Upload of O’Level result(s) is compulsory.
  • Direct Entry candidates must also upload their A’Level qualifications where applicable.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly check their email, phone number, and the COOU portal for updates regarding the screening exercise.

Visit the COOU application portal at:

Step 2

If you do not already have an account, click “Create One” below the sign-in button and follow the registration instructions.

Important: Use a valid personal email address and phone number that you can easily access.

Step 3

Log in using your JAMB Registration Number and the password you created during registration.

Step 4

Follow the application progress steps displayed on your dashboard and complete all required sections of the Post UTME application form.
