The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Supplementary Post-UTME Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the university.

The supplementary screening is open to eligible candidates who selected FUTO as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates who did not initially choose FUTO but meet the required UTME score can also apply after changing their institution to FUTO on the JAMB CAPS.

The FUTO Supplementary Post-UTME application portal will open on Thursday, September 24, 2026, and close on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

FUTO Supplementary Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the FUTO 2026/2027 Supplementary Screening Exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.
  2. Candidates must have selected FUTO as their first-choice university in the 2026 UTME.
  3. Candidates who did not originally choose FUTO as their first choice but scored at least 150 in UTME may apply, provided they change their institution to FUTO through the JAMB CAPS before completing the application.
  4. Candidates must have the correct JAMB subject combination prescribed for their chosen programme according to the JAMB brochure.
  5. Candidates must possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three other relevant subjects required for their chosen programme.
  6. The required O’Level credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
  7. Candidates must have scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME, subject to the specific minimum score required for their chosen programme.

FUTO Supplementary Post-UTME Application Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay an application fee depending on whether they previously applied for the FUTO Post-UTME screening exercise.

  • ₦18,000 – Candidates who previously applied for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
  • ₦20,000 – Fresh applicants.

Click on “Generate Invoice” and enter your JAMB Registration Number.

A payment invoice containing your Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR) will be generated.

Proceed to any designated bank with the payment invoice to make payment, or pay online using your ATM card.

Step 4: Return to the Application Portal

After making payment, return to:

Click on “Application Form.”

Step 5: Log In

Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Login.”

Step 6: Complete the Application Form
