The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the official minimum cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session:
- Universities: 150
- Polytechnics & Colleges of Education: 100
- Colleges of Nursing Sciences: 140
This announcement was made by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the 2025 JAMB Policy Meeting held on Tuesday in Abuja. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education, Tunji Alaussa, along with vice-chancellors, rectors, registrars, and other key stakeholders.
📌 Note: These are minimum JAMB cut-off marks. Institutions are permitted to set higher cut-off marks but cannot go below the minimum set by JAMB.

Additionally, it was reiterated that the minimum admissible age for entry into tertiary institutions remains 16 years.
With this development, many public tertiary institutions are expected to begin the sale of their Post-UTME screening forms soon. Candidates are advised to stay alert for announcements from their chosen institutions.
