he Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University has graciously approved the reopening of the Online Admission Screening Portal for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates for the LASU Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Students) for the 2025/2026 session. This applies to candidates seeking admission via:
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) into 100 Level, and
- Direct Entry (DE).
Participation in the online screening is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission into Lagos State University.
Please Note: Applications can only be submitted during the screening window.
2.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR SCREENING
i. UTME Candidates:
Candidates who selected LASU as their First Choice in the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 195 are eligible. Additionally, candidates must be at least 16 years of age by 30th September 2025.
ii. LASU Pre-Degree (PDS) Candidates:
PDS candidates who have successfully completed their programme and selected LASU as First Choice in the 2025 UTME with a minimum score of 195 are eligible to apply.
iii. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:
All DE candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB) students, who selected LASU as First Choice and obtained a DE form from JAMB, are eligible for the screening. Only LASU Diploma is accepted for DE admission, except NCE applicants into Education programmes.
iv. Candidates of Lagos State Origin:
Applicants of Lagos State origin (100 or 200 level) who have been cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) will have their claims automatically validated during the screening.

3.1 DIRECT ENTRY DOCUMENT SUBMISSION
All DE candidates must submit a copy of their Online Screening Report and Notification of Diploma/NCE Result to the Admissions Annex/Liaison Office (Room 7, Administrative Block II) immediately after completing the screening.
4.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
A. Online Payment & Registration
- Visit www.lasu.edu.ng
- Navigate to Student > New Applicants
- Click on UTME/DE Screening (or visit: https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening)
- Click UTME Candidate Login
- Enter UTME Registration Number and Surname
- Click Submit
- Click Make Payment (Admission Screening) and complete the form:
- JAMB Registration Number
- Description: Admission Screening Fee
- Campus: Ojo
- Category: Student
- After successful payment, return to dashboard
- Click Start Admission Screening
- Supply Transaction ID used during payment
- Complete and submit the self-screening form
- If corrections are needed, you may repeat the process after making a correction fee payment.
B. Self-Screening Steps
- Revisit https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening
- Log in using UTME Registration Number and Surname
- Fill in all required personal and academic information carefully
- Ensure O’Level details are accurate.
- Minimum of 5 O’Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings
- Medicine and Dentistry: One sitting only
- Engineering: 6 credits including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English + 2 other science subjects
- Aeronautic Engineering: Credit in Further Mathematics required
- English Language credit is mandatory for all courses
- Upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the screening deadline
- Preview all information. If correct, tick “I Certify” to confirm and submit
- After submission, return to the homepage, enter your UTME number and download the Screening Report
C. Online Grading System
Candidates will be assessed based on:
- UTME score
- SSCE grades in 5 best relevant subjects

- Screening/Registration Period: Monday, 4th August – Friday, 9th August 2025 (until 12 midnight)
- Only examinations written before July 2025 will be considered valid.
