The University of Calabar invites applications from qualified candidates for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening Exercise. Interested applicants should carefully read and follow the guidelines below.
π Portal Opening and Registration Period
The online registration portal will open on Friday, July 18, 2025, and will close at midnight on Monday, August 4, 2025.
β Eligibility Criteria
- First Choice Candidates:
Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as theirΒ first choiceΒ in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and scoredΒ a minimum of 150Β are eligible to apply. - Change of Institution Candidates:
Candidates who didΒ not initially choose UNICALΒ but scored at leastΒ 150Β in the 2025/2026 UTME and are interested in applyingΒ must complete a Change of InstitutionΒ to UNICAL via the JAMB portal (www.jamb.org.ng) and select any of the approved programmes listed in Section 10 of this notice.
Note: UNICAL, in line with the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS), does not accept two sittings of OβLevel results for Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry & Dental Surgery.

- The University willΒ not be held responsibleΒ for failed communications due to invalid contact details.
π Post-UTME Screening Date
The specific date and venue for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will be printed on each candidateβs Post-UTME Screening Schedule Slip, available upon successful registration.
π Candidates are strongly advised to obtain theΒ official UNICAL Post-UTME Past Questions and AnswersΒ to prepare adequately for the screening.

π Items Required for the Screening Test
Candidates must bring:
- Printed Post-UTME Screening Schedule Slip
- 2025/2026 JAMB UTME Result Slip
Do NOT bring the following items:
- Calculators
- Mathematical tables
- Smart phones or smartwatches
- Bags or any kind of container
β οΈ Note: All prohibited items will be confiscated. The University will not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
π« Disqualification Notice
Any candidate found to have made false declarations regarding:
- UTME score
- OβLevel grades (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
- State of Origin
…shall be disqualified and will not be considered for admission.
