UNICAL Post-UTME/DE 2025: Cut-off mark, Eligibility and Registration Details

The University of Calabar invites applications from qualified candidates for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening Exercise. Interested applicants should carefully read and follow the guidelines below.


📅 Portal Opening and Registration Period

The online registration portal will open on Friday, July 18, 2025, and will close at midnight on Monday, August 4, 2025.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

  1. First Choice Candidates:
    Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and scored a minimum of 150 are eligible to apply.
  2. Change of Institution Candidates:
    Candidates who did not initially choose UNICAL but scored at least 150 in the 2025/2026 UTME and are interested in applying must complete a Change of Institution to UNICAL via the JAMB portal (www.jamb.org.ng) and select any of the approved programmes listed in Section 10 of this notice.

Note: UNICAL, in line with the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS), does not accept two sittings of O’Level results for Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry & Dental Surgery.

🔐 Special Application Instructions

  • Applicants must provide a valid personal email address and phone number.
  • The University will not be held responsible for failed communications due to invalid contact details.

📝 Post-UTME Screening Date

The specific date and venue for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will be printed on each candidate’s Post-UTME Screening Schedule Slip, available upon successful registration.

📌 Candidates are strongly advised to obtain the official UNICAL Post-UTME Past Questions and Answers to prepare adequately for the screening.

🎒 Items Required for the Screening Test

Candidates must bring:

  • Printed Post-UTME Screening Schedule Slip
  • 2025/2026 JAMB UTME Result Slip

Do NOT bring the following items:

  • Calculators
  • Mathematical tables
  • Smart phones or smartwatches
  • Bags or any kind of container

⚠️ Note: All prohibited items will be confiscated. The University will not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings.


🚫 Disqualification Notice

Any candidate found to have made false declarations regarding:

  • UTME score
  • O’Level grades (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
  • State of Origin

…shall be disqualified and will not be considered for admission.
