The management of University of Port Harcourt has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.
Candidates who chose UNIPORT as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 160 are invited to apply for the screening exercise.

A WhatsApp group has been created for aspirants and prospective students of UNIPORT to help candidates stay updated on Post-UTME screening dates, admission news, departmental cut-off marks, and other important information for the 2026/2027 academic session.
UNIPORT Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements 2026/2027
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Choose UNIPORT as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME
- Score a minimum of 160 in the 2026 JAMB examination
- Be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026
- Upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS
Candidates who selected UNIPORT as second choice must first change the institution to first choice through JAMB before applying.

Online registration will begin on:
Friday, 15th May, 2026
and close on:
Friday, 29th May, 2026
Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline, as the application portal will be closed at midnight on the closing date.
How to Apply for UNIPORT Post-UTME Screening
Candidates should follow the steps below carefully:
Step 1 – Visit the UNIPORT Portal

Step 2 – Confirm UTME Details
- Input your UTME Registration Number
- Confirm your pre-loaded UTME details
Step 3 – Make Payment
- Generate a Remita code for payment
- Pay the sum of ₦2,000 only
- Payment can be made online using an ATM card or at any bank using the Remita platform
Step 4 – Obtain Payment Confirmation
- Collect your Remita receipt showing the Access Code after payment
Step 5 – Complete Registration
- Return to the portal
- Login using your UTME Registration Number and Access Code
- Fill out the online screening form
- Submit the application and print your registration slip
UNIPORT Post-UTME Screening Schedule

Important Information for Candidates
Applicants should note the following:
- Candidates who fail to register within the registration period will not participate in the screening exercise
- Mobile phones, iPads, smart gadgets, and unauthorized materials will not be allowed at the screening venue
- Registration is completely online; candidates are not required to visit the campus to register
- Candidates must use valid personal phone numbers and email addresses during registration
- Failure to upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS may affect admission consideration
- Candidates must appear at their assigned screening venue and time when announced
Warning to Parents and Guardians
Parents, guardians, and unauthorized security personnel will not be allowed into the University campus during the screening exercise.
