UUTH College of Nursing Sciences Begins Admission for ND & HND Nursing Programmes, 2025/2026 Academic Session
The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH), Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The announcement was made by the Office of the Registrar, inviting qualified and interested candidates who aspire to build a successful career in Nursing Sciences to seize this opportunity to study at one of Nigeria’s foremost health training institutions.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for admission into the ND and HND Nursing programmes, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Candidates must have participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 170.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old on or before November 30, 2025.
- Candidates must possess credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects — English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, or NECO examinations.
Applicants who satisfy these requirements are encouraged to apply early to avoid missing the deadline.

Method of Application
Interested and qualified candidates are to obtain the application form upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ₦30,000 at the Bursary Department of the College of Nursing Sciences, UUTH.
Upon obtaining the form, applicants must present the following documents at the point of registration:
- Three (3) recent coloured passport photographs.
- Photocopies of all relevant academic credentials.
- A printed copy of the JAMB result slip showing the candidate’s UTME score.
Application Period:
Collection and submission of forms begin on Monday, November 3, 2025, and close on Friday, November 14, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Post-UTME Screening Exercise
The Post-UTME Screening Examination will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the College Auditorium, located within the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital premises, starting at 9:00 a.m.
Candidates are expected to come with the following:
- Proof of payment for the application form.
- Copy of the registration slip.
- JAMB printout as evidence of UTME participation.
Applicants are advised to arrive early, dress neatly, and avoid bringing electronic devices or unauthorized materials into the examination hall.
