UNILAG Admission Update 2025/2026: Important Notice to Candidates Who Did Not Meet Cut-Off Marks
The management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued an important announcement to prospective candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the notice, some applicants who did not meet the official cut-off marks for their initial choice of courses or programmes have been reassigned to alternative courses where they meet the required criteria.
What Affected Candidates Should Do
All affected candidates are strongly advised to check their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portals beginning Monday, October 27, 2025, for notifications on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Upon receiving the notification, candidates must ACCEPT or REJECT the new course offered within 24 hours. This prompt response is crucial for the continuation of the admission process.
Why Timely Action Matters
Candidates should note that failure to take action within the stipulated time frame will lead to automatic forfeiture of admission. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to:
- Visit their JAMB CAPS portal frequently.
- Monitor their admission status for any updates.
- Respond immediately once a new course transfer or offer appears.
How to Check and Accept Transfer Offers on JAMB CAPS
- Log in to your JAMB profile via efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
- Click on “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access My CAPS.”
- Go to the “Transfer Approval” section.
- Review the details of the new course offered.
- Click “Accept” if you wish to proceed or “Reject” if you do not.
Tip: If you are using a mobile phone, open the site with Chrome browser in desktop mode to view all available options properly.
Final Reminder
UNILAG urges all candidates to remain proactive and vigilant throughout this process to avoid missing out on their admission opportunities.
