The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME (PUTME) and Post Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who selected UNIBEN as their first-choice institution and meet the admission requirements are invited to register for the screening exercise.
UNIBEN Post UTME Screening Date 2026/2027
The UNIBEN Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise is scheduled to hold:
Monday, 27th July 2026 to Saturday, 1st August 2026
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) screening will take place at designated centres within the Ugbowo Campus of the University of Benin.
UNIBEN Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Choose UNIBEN as their First Choice Institution during the 2026 UTME.
- Score a minimum of 200 and above in the 2026 UTME.
- Possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics (where applicable).
- Obtain the required credits in not more than two sittings.
- Have a valid email address for registration and communication purposes.
UNIBEN Post UTME Registration Period
Registration for the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise begins:
- Opening Date: Friday, 5th June 2026
- Closing Date: Friday, 3rd July 2026 (Midnight)
Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline, as late applications will not be accepted.
How to Apply for UNIBEN Post UTME 2026/2027
Follow the steps below to register successfully:
Step 1: Visit the Application Portal
Visit the official UNIBEN application portal:
Step 2: Begin Application
- Click on the Application Menu.
- Read the instructions under the Post-UTME Application section.
- Click “Click/Tap Here to Proceed.”
- Carefully review the guidelines and select “Begin Application Process.”
Step 3: Enter Your Details
Provide:
- JAMB Registration Number
- JAMB Score
- Preferred Password
Step 4: Login
Login using:
- User ID (JAMB Registration Number)
- Password created during registration
Step 5: Complete Application Form
Fill in all required information accurately.
Step 6: Make Payment
Click “Pay with Remita” and pay the application fee of:
₦2,000 only (excluding portal access charges)
Payment can be made online using any ATM-enabled debit card from commercial banks in Nigeria.
Step 7: Review and Submit
Carefully preview all information before submission.
Important: No corrections will be allowed after submission.
When to Print Screening Slip
Candidates should revisit the portal from:
Friday, 17th July 2026
to print their:
- Screening Invitation Slip
- Screening Schedule Slip showing date, venue, and time of examination
Documents Required for the Screening Exercise
Candidates are expected to come with:
- Acknowledgement Slip
- Screening Invitation Slip containing examination details
Important Instructions for Candidates
Applicants should take note of the following:
- Candidates must arrive at the screening venue at least one hour before the scheduled examination time.
- Mobile phones, calculators, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited.
- Only candidates who successfully complete registration before the deadline will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.
- Candidates who make payment after the application deadline will not be screened.
