The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session. We have created UNICAL WhatsApp group for aspirants and prospective students of University of Calabar (UNICAL). The idea is to help candidates stay updated regarding Post-UTME and Admission activities for the 2026/2027 academic session in UNICAL.Eligibility
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as their first choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB UTME and scored a minimum of 150.
Candidates who did not initially choose UNICAL as their first choice but are willing to change to the institution and scored at least 150 in the 2026/2027 UTME.
Registration Details
Registration for the screening exercise will commence on Monday, 1st June 2026 and end on 31st July 2026.
The University management stated that the use of E-transact and scratch card PINs has been phased out to provide candidates with a more seamless online registration experience.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of N2,000 through the University’s secure online portal.

Enter your correct JAMB Registration Number to verify your eligibility.
Complete the online registration form with accurate details, including a valid email address and active phone number.
Make payment online using ATM Card, Bank Transfer, or USSD.
Submit the application and print out the registration slip.
Important Notice
The University warned that it will not be responsible for unsuccessful applications caused by invalid phone numbers or email addresses.
Additionally, the institution stated that candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery must note that O’Level results in two sittings will not be accepted in compliance with the CCMAS policy.
UNICAL also warned that candidates who make false declarations regarding their UTME scores, O’Level grades, or state of origin will be automatically disqualified from the admission process.
