This is to inform all candidates who chose Ebonyi State University (EBSU) as their first-choice institution, as well as those willing to switch to EBSU, that the Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) application for the 2025/2026 academic session is now open.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidates awaiting results from WAEC (May/June), NECO (June/July), or NABTEB O’Level 2025 are eligible to apply.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected EBSU as their choice institution are also eligible and must request their previous institutions to verify their A-level results on the JAMB portal.
- Candidates not originally choosing EBSU but wishing to apply must complete a Change of Institution to EBSU via the JAMB portal before applying.

- Start Date: Monday, 14th July 2025
- Deadline: Wednesday, 14th August 2025
- Candidates must complete the online registration by providing accurate personal and academic details.
- O’Level results must be uploaded to both the EBSU portal and the JAMB portal to be considered for admission.
Important Notes
- Inconsistencies in candidate names across O’Level, UTME, and registration documents will lead to disqualification.
- There will be no physical screening. All screening processes will be conducted online.
- Candidates will be notified of their admission status through the EBSU portal.
- An offer of admission must be accepted within four (4) weeks, or it will be automatically withdrawn.
- Pre-degree admission will be based on the average of UTME and Pre-degree scores.
