Ebonyi State University has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university invites suitably qualified candidates who selected EBSU as their first-choice institution, as well as candidates willing to change to EBSU, to apply for the online screening exercise.
Candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply.
EBSU Post UTME Application Period 2026/2027
The online application portal will open on:
- Start Date: 22nd May 2026
- Closing Date: 22nd June 2026

EBSU Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Ebonyi State University Post UTME screening exercise, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Candidates must score at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.
- Applicants who did not initially choose EBSU can still apply after changing their institution to EBSU through the JAMB Portal.
- Candidates awaiting results from:
- WAEC (May/June 2026)
- NECO (June/July 2026)
- NABTEB O’Level
are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must ensure that their names are consistent across all documents including:

- JAMB result
- Registration documents

EBSU Post UTME Screening Fee
All candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of:
₦2,000 only
Important Information for Candidates
No Physical Screening Required
The university has stated clearly that candidates are not required to appear for physical screening.
The entire screening process will be conducted online.

Candidates must upload their O’Level results to:

- The JAMB CAPS Portal

Admission Status Notification
