JAMB discloses top scorers in 2025 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Speaking at the 2025 Policy Meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced that Okeke Chinedu Christian, from Anambra State, recorded the highest score with a total of 375.

However, Prof. Oloyede revealed that the Board discovered discrepancies in Okeke’s academic records. Although he applied to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), records in JAMB’s database showed that he was previously admitted to the Department of Medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) four years ago and is still actively enrolled.

Following inquiries, UNN confirmed that Okeke remains a registered medical student with no official record of withdrawal. Consequently, JAMB has written to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) to ensure that he is not allowed to practice medicine under these circumstances.

Meanwhile, several other candidates also posted impressive results. Below is the list of the top 10 scorers in the 2025 UTME:
